Craft Apps Designed for iPhone and iPod Touch Bring Crafting Fun and Instruction to the Mobile User, Featuring Video, Projects, Expert Advice, and More

Loveland, Colo.: Interweave launched its third app for crafters today, “Art Quilting Daily,” following the successful debut of the Knitting Daily app and Beading Daily app earlier this spring. All three apps are available for free download on iTunes and in Apple’s app store. The apps provide crafters with free project ideas, tips and instruction, video tutorials, glossaries of terms, and more.

With these new apps, Interweave is now  delivering its valued digital content from three of its largest online communities, which had existed solely on its website, to the mobile platform and to crafters around the globe. The apps offers fans the latest blog posts and videos so they can read and watch their favorite content on the go—wherever they are, and whenever they want.

Videos are one of the main features on the app, and offer step-by-step tutorials with some of the industry’s leading experts and interviews with artists and celebrity authors. New videos and blog posts are added each week to these customized mobile versions of the Quilting Daily, Beading Daily, and Knitting Daily online communities. Also included in the apps are options for sharing favorite items on Facebook, Twitter, or via e-mail.

While the apps were created for viewing on iPhone and iPod Touch devices, iPad users can download them  and view content in small format or enlarged (2x) size. Content is updated each time users open the app and there is no need to purchase updates or subscriptions.

The apps were developed by the digital media team at Interweave.
